Asian stocks tick higher, ignore commodity sell-off

By FXStreet FXStreet (Mumbai) – The stocks on the Asian bourses regained lost ground after a softer start, with most major regional indices now trading higher. While the Japanese markets were closed on account of Labor Thanksgiving Day holiday.

China stocks lead Asia higher

In absence of Japanese traders, Asian indices witnessed limited volatility, with the Australian benchmark, the S&P/ASX trading on a positive note, up 0.32% higher at 5,272 points. Markets appear to shrug off the decline in base metals and oil prices and remain firmer as exports stocks receives support from a weaker AUD.

While the Chinese indices also posted moderate gains, with Shanghai Composite (SSEC) rising 0.52% to 3,649. China’s A50 index gains 0.65% to 10,757 points.
