Fed’s Beige Book: Several districts reported wage pressures
|By FXStreet FXStreet (Córdoba) – Fed’s Beige Book for September showed that economic activity in the US was still expanding at a modest to moderate pace from July to the middle of August.
Several of the Fed’s 12 districts “reported increasing wage pressures caused by labor market tightening”, compared to “modest wages pressures” cited in previous reports. Most Districts reported modest to moderate growth in labor demand.
The Beige Book is a survey that summarizes anecdotal information from outside of the Federal Reserve System. September report was prepared by the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and based on information collected before August 24, 2015.
