US markets closed during Thanksgiving holiday
|By FXStreet FXStreet (Córdoba) – The United States celebrates Thanksgiving today and equity markets will remain closed on Thursday.
There will be no US floor trading for metals and energy futures on Comex and the New York Mercantile Exchange on Thanksgiving Day but electronic trading resumes at 23:00 GMT.
On Friday, the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq will be closed at 18:00 GMT while oil and metals will also close early. Bond market closings are not enforced, but they are recommended. The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIMFA) is recommending a 19:00 GMT closure for the bond market.
