US stocks end session lower but post weekly gains
|By FXStreet Wall Street indexes ended slightly lower on Friday weighed by fall in oil prices, but managed to post weekly gains.
The DJIA fell 22.3 points, or 0.1%, to 16,391.10 but ended the week 2.6% higher. The S&P 500 finished the day flat at 1,917.67 but gained 2.8% over the week. Both the Dow and S&P 500 posted their biggest weekly gains of the year.
The Nasdaq Composite rose 16.89 points, or 0.4%, to 4,504.43 and climbed 3.9% over the week, posting its largest gain in over six months.
