US stocks extend fall on Friday and post weekly losses

By FXStreet FXStreet (Córdoba) – US stocks ended Friday with sharp losses, with main indexes snapping a six-week winning streak.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 202.97 points, or 1.16%, to 17,245.10, closing the week 3.7% down. The S&P 500 Index fell 22.91 points, or 1.12%, to 2,023.06 and posted a 3.6% loss over the week. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 77.20 points, or 1.54%, to close at 4,927.88, and down 4.3% in the week.
